How to Make a Disaster Plan for Your Jewelry Business

Over the last few weeks we have heard so many heartbreaking stories from our friends in Florida and Texas.  We have shared posts on disaster preparation from various insurance agencies but feel the need to post our own. 

Disaster can strike anywhere and many times it is so hard to recover, especially for a small business.

Some tips:

  • Have a written plan.
  • Backup your financials and customer files. Make sure you have copies in a safe place – away from the premises.
  • Make a list and take pictures of all of your hard assets (inventory).
  • Establish a communication plan between you and your employees.
  • Make sure you have the right insurance coverage.
