Dental X-ray, manufacturing and photography film are known to contain heavy metals such as silver which if not disposed of properly can become a hazard to the environment. The heavy metals found in dental X-rays for instance can leach into the ground and cause harm to the water supply and/or damage the environment. It is important to send film to an EPA compliant facility for proper disposal. Pease & Curren is an EPA compliant facility. Certificates of destruction are available upon request as are free containers to send the materials in.
